At this point, several rumors and leaks have pointed to some design changes for the iPhone 15 Pro models, but there is one thing that the Cupertino tech giant may have dropped; the solid-sate buttons for a slightly buttonless design. That said, we might see an interesting change and no, we're not talking about the USB-C port again. Take a look at the details.

What your iPhone 15 USB-C port can & CAN'T!

Ming-Chi Kuo has already stated that Apple will not use the solid state design for the power and volume buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. This is due to some technical issues that Apple is facing. What this means is that it will stick to the iPhone 14 Pro's physical button design, saving itself some hassle.

But what may change besides replacing the Lightning port (with the USB Type-C port), will be a new mute button. It is suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro will say ta-ta to the alert slider and go for a proper button, which can be called the action button. By the way, this name comes from the button on the Apple Watch Ultra.

And there is an additional functionality besides just turning off the phone; the ability to change its functionality to reach out to Siri, launch certain apps and more. This would be an interesting and practical addition if this actually happens.
