With Eon Productions still looking for its next James Bond, Chrisopher Nolan is reportedly out of the running for the director's job.

Daniel Craig's amazing run as James Bond ended with the 2021 film, No Time To Die. Starting with 2006's Casino Royale, Craig has established himself as one of the best iterations of the character to date. Now, with Eon Productions looking for a replacement, all eyes are on the studio as they try to finalize the creative work that will be behind the upcoming film.

For a long time, legendary director Christopher Nolan had been earmarked as the perfect choice. However, that seems to have changed at the moment, with the producers reportedly looking for a more traditional approach and a "safe and experienced pair of hands" to ensure the franchise's continuity without overshadowing Bond's character with a distinct directorial style.

Back in July, journalist Jeff Sneider narrowed down a list of potential directors for the new Bond film. Since then, several directors have been considered and even called to Eon Productions headquarters in London for initial meetings, described as "speed dates". Despite the anticipation of Nolan's involvement, discussions have apparently broken down, with Eon Productions favoring candidates who can deliver a solid Bond film without dominating the narrative.
