One Piece is one of the few rare anime that is lucky enough to get a reboot, a remake, while there are many others waiting for their turn. Some anime that got it wrong are still waiting for the time when their remake would be announced, but until then, WIT Studio brings Eiichiro Oda's masterpiece to the eyes that find many ways to trouble the original series.
For an anime that has been around for so long, it has witnessed the changes and improvements that the anime industry has seen over time. From frames to animation quality, changes have been made throughout each anime that has evolved. In order to incorporate these changes into an anime that has generations worth of fans, WIT Studio took it upon themselves to do the remake.
The One Piece, Netflix and WIT Studios combined effort to remake Eiichiro Oda's magnum opus has many eyes on it. As shared by the studio's president (via X ), the goal is to reduce the number of episodes and also be free of the 4:3 format that the original series found itself bound by. With the upcoming changes, many of them feel that some things are unnecessary.
