Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon X Elite chipset for Windows PCs last October. The company showed off internal Geekbench scores for the chipset to prove it's better than Apple's latest M3 chipsets. And today, fresh Geekbench benchmark scores of the Snapdragon X Elite (model "Qualcomm ZH-WXX") have surfaced online. But do they tell a similar story?

Snapdragon X Elite Review after 2 months: Laptop Revolution!

The new scores give the impression that the X Elite sits somewhere between the Apple M2 and M3. But there is more to it as this version of the Snapdragon X Elite has two CPU clusters, likely with the 23W version of the SDXElite.

When Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon X Elite, the company said the chipset has 12 high-performance cores and does not include any efficiency cores. However, the new Geekbench listing shows that it has a total of 12 cores, and it is split into two clusters – one with 8 cores and another with 4 cores.

Additionally, there are two types of lists — one with a 3.4 GHz base frequency and another with a 4.01 GHz base frequency. This means that the claimed scores are likely from a unit tested on the 23W version of the X Elite. According to Qualcomm, the 23W version of the SDXElite has a base frequency of 3.4GHz and goes up to 4.0GHz in boost mode. The 80W version starts at 3.8 GHz and goes up to 4.3 GHz.
