Meta's Mark Zuckerberg revealed via a post on Threads that the app is getting an edit button, that too for free. This is quite interesting as the app introduced a pretty handy feature (which should be the case by the way!) in a short period of time, unlike X, which took years to get the feature. Also, it remains behind a paywall and only Premium subscribers can use it.
So if you accidentally made a wrong post or had a lot of typos, you can simply edit the post instead of deleting it and posting a new one. That being said, the feature comes with limits. You will have 5 minutes to edit the post, after which the option will be unavailable.
To edit a thread post, you can simply tap the three-dotted menu next to it and select the edit option. There will be a timer next to it so you can make the changes as soon as possible. This is a disadvantage as X has a longer time limit.
