USB-C will be mandatory for phones sold in the EU "by autumn 2024"

The European Union has unified USB Type-C, following discussions between various EU bodies. To recall, the legislation was in the works for over a decade. "Today we have made the common charger a reality in Europe! European consumers were long frustrated by multiple chargers piling up with each new device. Now they will be able to use a single charger for all their portable electronics," says Alex Agius Saliba, European Parliament reporter, in a press release.
