ALIEN: ROMULUS | Behind the Scenes Reel #2 with Isabela Merced, Cailee Spaeny

Alien: Romulus is the latest addition to the Alien franchise, started by Hollywood luminary Ridley Scott. After the last film in the franchise, which unfortunately didn't do so well, it looked like the Alien story would die out. But then Fede Álvarez entered the picture and seemed to have breathed new life into it.

Along with lead actress Cailee Spaeny, Isabela Merced joined the franchise with Romulus and has given an amazing performance. But it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for the actress, who was terrified while filming this sci-fi horror film. And all thanks to her beloved director.

In what would be considered a very unusual direction from a film director, Fede Álvarez had someone pour a bucket of cold water on actress Isabela Merced to get the right reaction out of her for a scene. In a recent conversation with Josh Horowitz during the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Merced described some moments on set and the event that left her half scared and half cold.
