Adapted from a series of fantasy novels by George RR Martin titled A Song of Ice and Fire, Game of Thrones took the world by storm by becoming one of the most popular television shows of all time. The series ended its eighth season with an astounding 10 million viewers tuning in on HBO.

The show also made actors like Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa recognizable faces in Hollywood.
