Tywin Lannister actor Charles Dance learned how to properly skin a deer for a scene in Game of Thrones.

George RR Martin – Where I would like to live in Westeros

Charles Dance gave an excellent performance as Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones. A long-time actor and film veteran, he always shows dedication to his craft and even goes to extreme lengths to effectively portray the characters he plays on screen.

There's a reason he's been cast for the antagonistic role in the HBO hit. Such a character needed someone who could embody the position of a royal patriarch which is both very complex and dominant at the same time.

The role of Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones is not for the faint of heart. Charles Dance was able to translate the character's evilness to the screen. The head of House Lannister is the mastermind behind many heinous crimes on the show, and it takes a lot of courage for someone to make those orders.
