The latest Hellboy reboot might just take the cake with how comically accurate it is with the look of its main character.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man will serve as the third iteration of Mike Mignola's groundbreaking horror superhero character. Hellboy received a wonderfully practical and well-written adaptation under horror legend Guillermo Del Toro, who is known for his work with fairy tales, the supernatural and the occult in his films.

Despite all the success Hellboy and its sequel Hellboy: The Golden Army enjoyed, the reboot of the franchise with David Habour as the titular BPRD agent was a critical and commercial failure. The Crooked Man looks promising, though, given that fans are totally on board with how the character appears in promotional material.

All three Hellboy adaptations have gone for a practical look, rather the use of CGI for their main characters. While the horror vibe of the series was present in one way or another in all versions of the character, Hellboy: The Crooked Man has managed to nail the look of the comics in a live-action medium, and fans can't help but notice the accuracy.
