The only thing stopping Sheldon from winning every battle with Penny was removed in the original airless pilot.

The VERY weird version of Big Bang Theory you never saw

The Big Bang Theory is one of the most beloved sitcoms of today and has had a huge cultural impact. The show centered around a group of scientists in LA and their adventures in navigating the social world after an attractive neighbor walks in. Jim Parsons, who played Sheldon Cooper, won four Emmys for his role.

While the show had a perfect pilot that established the four lovable nerds, it was actually the second one made for the show. Although not that different, the first non-broadcast pilot had some variations in characteristics and plot. But one key difference in Sheldon's character that fans weren't ready to accept was his sexualization in the non-airing pilot.

Fans love the train-loving, arrogant physicist Sheldon Cooper because of the same qualities. He is a nerd, obsessed with Star Trek, Doctor Who and comic books while being the smartest of the bunch on The Big Bang Theory. What makes him even more comical is despite his extensive knowledge, he is socially awkward and inexperienced.
