After its failed attempt to emulate Snapchat and Instagram Stories with Fleets, Twitter is now working on a new feature that will supposedly let you share status updates on the platform. Named "Vibes," Twitter is still working on this feature and it's not available to everyone at this time.
Twitter just got cooler! – Twitter Vibes Check feature
As prolific appreverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi shared on Twitter, ∫ will offer a way for users to instantly update their status on the web and mobile apps. According to Paluzzi, you'll have the option to add the status from the tweet composer window, suggesting it could be part of a new tweet. If so, it would be similar to what we currently have on Facebook as the "Feeling/Activity" feature.
However, a separate tweet suggests that Vibes could also exist independently of a new tweet. Such an option would allow users to update their statuses directly from the profile page. It reminds me of the status feature that was in the now defunct Threads app from Instagram. #Twitter continues to work on Vibes 👀ℹ️ Looks like there will be a status feature pic.twitter.com/dkep3AF0Pn — Alessandro Paluzzi (@alex193a) April 2, 2022
