She's giving us 90s Disney energy again

One could argue that it is too late to compete for the song of the summer. We may not yet know what will define "Summer 2024" in our minds, but the submissions are in, the streams are being counted. Maybe that's how you've worried about whether it's your espresso, or always start a little dance when you hear "Not Like Us" (and repeat it five times), rock out on the way to the bar, or how you've hit it the high note when you wish people "Good luck, honey!"

But that was before The Acolyte aired episode 7, which ended with a very abrupt cut to the credits and song by one Victoria Monét.

Until now, The Acolyte's main claim to fame has been bringing the High Republic to live action and Manny Jacinto luring people to the dark side. Now the new Star Wars show is taking on the pop charts, leaning on Grammy winner Monét to tie together the stories of Mae and Osha in a post-credits song.
