Vivo has launched the latest entrant in the Y series for the Chinese market, which is the Vivo Y97. The device is already current and has many functions on the table.

The Vivo Y97 sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED (1080×2280 pixels) display with a waterdrop-shaped notch that has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3 percent. As for the hardware, the device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor along with 4GB of RAM. The device comes with 128 GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded with a microSD card.
The Vivo Y97 has a dual camera setup on the back, with a 16MP+2MP setup. On the front, there's another 16MP shooter, along with Vivo's AI technology, which, the company claims, "provides a customized beauty scheme to highlight your natural beauty according to different facial features of men and women, as well as skin texture, skin color and scene lighting".
The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Vivo's FunTouch OS 4.0 skin on top. In terms of security, the device ditches the fingerprint sensor, but has an advanced face unlock feature. Face Unlock on Vivo Y97 uses infrared technology, which allows users to easily unlock the device even at night.
