Updated Much to the chagrin of security professionals, VMware security advisories are now only visible if users sign up for a Broadcom Support account first.

Granted, signing up for a support account is free, but the change, announced earlier this week, could create additional friction for infosec professionals looking for details on the bugs they need to squash.

Broadcom seems to have changed, and the VMware recommendations are visible to world-plus-dog after all. "We've learned that it is NOT necessary to log into the Broadcom Support Portal to see a list of VMware Security Advisories," said the virtualization house's Monty Ijzerman.
