Some people just want to get into most things and shoot down everything they see and do barrel rolls until tunnel vision kicks in. But not you! You want to make the most of what modern technology has to offer and use the radar that sits in the nose cone of your fighter. Now the ingame interface in War Thunder has a tendency to overwhelm. Especially with the later levels as you will be using something more sophisticated than just a crop pond. But don't worry, that's where we come in! We'll show you every step of the way how to properly set up the radar in your F-16 and make sure you see everything coming your way!
Now in the hangar you need to navigate towards the top left corner of your screen to bring up the options from the menu button. We will be using the search function from now on so you won't spend too much time trying to find all possible settings.
There will be two settings that you will need to toggle in your options. First is cyclic switching under Air Battle Settings. Go ahead and set it to "no". With this setting, you get a marker on your radar and it allows you to individually select your targets.
