Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft Gaming may have made a serious mistake when he missed Bungie which could have benefited the Xbox platform.

How Phil Spencer let us down and destroy the Xbox

Phil Spencer has been appointed head of Microsoft Gaming for the past decade and has made some questionable decisions for the Xbox platform. Microsoft went on an aggressive acquisition spree not too long ago and may have made a terrible mistake by betting on the wrong companies for growth.

Bungie was an option for acquisition but Spencer ultimately went with Activision because it had much more favorable franchises to use. But Spencer failed to see the benefits of acquiring Bungie, a well-known studio that could have pushed the platform to new heights because he had something else in mind.

The gaming community is reeling from the recent events that have befallen the Xbox brand, struggling to come to terms with Spencer's vision and questionable yet creative decisions. Some gamers joke that Sony is a team player to keep Phil Spencer on Microsoft's payroll by allowing the PlayStation 5 port of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
