Japan's Issue with YASUKE and Assassin's Creed

Ubisoft has recently turned to the Japanese community for its upcoming title, Assassin's Creed Shadows, which is set in feudal Japan and follows the journey of the samurai, Yasuke, and the shinobi Naoe.

The game's promotional content raised concerns about the depiction of certain elements in the game that hurt some people's feelings regarding their country's historical and cultural integrity.

Ubisoft has confirmed that it will keep fan criticism in mind before further reconstructing the game before the final release of the game in November and that its team has taken on board the opinions of numerous external consultants, historians and industry experts.
