Before "Captain America: Brave New World," one of Anthony Mackie's films was marred by a sexual assault scandal, causing delays and controversy.

Captain America 4 Brave New World gets A DISAPPOINTING update from Anthony Mackie

Anthony Mackie had been in the entertainment industry for a long time before debuting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and his position as the new Captain America further cemented his position as one of the most talented actors in Hollywood. Soon, his solo film as the respective character, Captain America 4, will hit the screens, only to raise his star status even more.

But while he has many laudable acting credits to his name, Mackie has also been embroiled in some controversial works. Like the racist drama The Banker, which saw him lead. But as good as the film was, it fell into the wrong spotlight after being caught up in the wildest sexual abuse scandal of none other than the film's main character's very own daughter.

Back in 2019, Anthony Mackie was all set to appear in and lead the drama The Banker as Bernard Garrett, the film's protagonist. Distributed by Apple TV+, the film covered the story of two African-American entrepreneurs, Garrett and Joe Morris (Samuel L. Jackson), who embark on a journey to successfully circumvent a racist establishment.
