Vince Gilligan's Breaking Bad had many faults, but not expanding its well-rounded story into a season 6 was perhaps one of the best choices.

One of the few privileges of growing up in the modern age of television is the presence of such shows as Breaking Bad. Sitcoms and episodic sci-fi adventures made up the majority of programming on television before The Sopranos dared to establish a new hierarchy in the field. The AMC drama starring Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul did the same for creative modern audiences.

Vince Gilligan's creation, while considered a masterpiece by many, is not without its faults and flaws. The biggest of them all, however, was the missing sixth season. Despite wrapping the story in a clean arc with a well-planned finale, which is more than can be said for recent shows on television, Breaking Bad ended far too soon for fans' satisfaction.

Armed with one of Hollywood's best creations in years, Vince Gilligan had a big responsibility to shoulder when deciding how to bring Breaking Bad to a good end. Tying the story together at the perfect time would require crucial planning to keep the show's legacy intact without ruining its already incredible gameplay.
