Unlike the MCU, which took its time to gradually create a coherent shared universe, the DCEU fumbled hard with its second outing, BVS, from which it never quite recovered. But with James Gunn now on board, who will lead the new chapter of the DC universe, which will start later this year, fans are optimistic about the future of the DC brand.

With both fans and Kevin Feige now banking on Deadpool & Wolverine to put the MCU back on the map, the Marvel boss shared a lot of interest in the idea of a potential Marvel x DC crossover. When asked about the possibility of seeing the two superhero brands team up on the big screen, Feige revealed that they've been talking about it for too long now, saying "We'll never say never."
