The Senior Cinematic Designer at 2K Cloud Chamber has announced that the team has many open positions. It seems they are assembling a team to begin development soon. Levine's Infinite was the last game in the franchise and despite its success, it felt like he caught himself with the series.
Jeff Spoonhower, Senior Cinematic Designer at 2K Cloud Chamber, has confirmed on LinkedIn that the Bioshock team at 2K Cloud Chamber is expanding. This means that 2K plans to start development on the next entry in the iconic series after 11 years.
