SMTOWN is a free admission culture complex space that is the brainchild of SM Entertainment, one of South Korea’s largest entertainment companies. However, this public place is not to be confused with SM Entertainment headquarters in the upscale neighborhood of Cheongdam-dong.

YG usually posts a schedule of yearly auditions but due to COVID-19, the entertainment group is only accepting online applications for now. Where do SM trainees live? Gangnam, Cheongdam, nearby Youngdong bridge, nearby Konkuk University, Hapjeong and nearby Hongik University are all popular locations for Kpop trainee dorms. The majority of k-pop trainees live close to their agencies as they spend a great deal of their day in practice rooms.
