The tone in a story indicates a particular feeling. It can be joyful, serious, humorous, sad, threatening, formal, informal, pessimistic, and optimistic….Examples of tone in a story include just about any adjective you can imagine:

Try to convey your readers how passionate you are about the subject of your work. Don’t use passive language and stiff phrases. Impressive essay tone means you, like an artist, show your audience the scene of your story. Active phrases help to express your feelings and emphasize the fundamental idea of your work.
