Human rights are the basic rights and freedoms that belong to every person in the world, from birth until death. They apply regardless of where you are from, what you believe or how you choose to live your life.

DEFINITION HUMAN RIGHTS are the rights that all people have by virtue of being human beings. HUMAN RIGHTS are derived from the inherent dignity of the human person and are defined internationally, nationally and locally by various law making bodies.

The principles are: Universal and inalienable, Interdependent and indivisible, Equal and non-discriminatory, and Both Rights and Obligations.

Whereas the peoples of the United Nations have in the Charter reaffirmed their faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person and in the equal rights of men and women and have determined to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom,

MEMBERSHIP Article 3 The original Members of the United Nations shall be the states which, having participated in the United Nations Conference on International Organization at San Francisco, or having previ- ously signed the Declaration by United Nations of January 1,1942, sign the present Charter and ratify it in accordance with Article 110.

CHAPTER III. ORGANS Article 7 1. There are established as the principal or- gans of the United Nations: a General Assem- bly, a Security Council, an Economic and Social Council, a Trusteeship Council, an International Court of Justice, and a Secretariat.

The General Assembly shall adopt its own rules of procedure. It shall elect its President for each session. The General Assembly may establish such subsidiary organs as it deems necessary for the performance of its functions. The Security Council shall consist of fifteen Members of the United Nations.
