The Arc is open daily from 10am closing at some point between 10pm and 11pm depending on the time of year. Adult admission is 12 Euros with under 18s free (2019 prices). Admission is also free for 18-25 years old if you are a citizen of one the countries of the EU or are a non-European permanent residents of France.

The admission to the Arc de Triomphe is free of charge for European Citizens under the age of 25 and also on certain days in a year, be sure to check their website before you visit. The Arc De Triomphe Rooftop Ticket remains free for those who have purchased the Paris Pass.

It’s worth the climb to the top just for the view down the tree-lined Champs-Elysées toward Place de la Concorde and the Louvre Museum. There’s no better way to appreciate just how grand and impressive this street is than from above!

At the top of the Tower explore Gustave Eiffel’s office which has been restored to its original condition. With its very life like wax models, the scene depicts the Tower’s creator and his daughter Claire welcoming the famous American inventor, Thomas Edison.

There are 2 restaurants located on the Eiffel Tower. Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers chic, picnic-style lunches as well as traditional, 3-course French meals. Situated on the second floor is the Eiffel Tower’s Michelin star Le Jules Verne restaurant.

Unsurprisingly, there’s a price tag – around $250 per person – attached to the Experience, the name given to the five- or six- course dinner tasting menu. Alternatively, spend a bit less and see the City of Light by day during a three-course lunch, served weekdays only.

Some of the Eiffel Tower restaurants are expensive. For a couple, a meal at Jules Verne restaurant could cost between 270 Euros to 460 Euros. At 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant, a couple will end up paying approximately 150 Euros. However, there are cheaper options, such as the Eiffel Tower Buffets, The Macaron bar, etc.

The elevators today Between the ground floor and the second floor: 3 elevators – North, East and West pillars – are dedicated to visitors. Eiffel Tower elevator operators handle the smooth flux of visitors.

The ticket line takes 5-10 minutes, the elevator itself takes 2-3 minutes to the second level, then the second elevator to the top takes another 4-5 minutes. If there is no line, you can be at the top in 15-20 minutes.
