1. What is this qualification worth? There are OCR Project Qualifications at Level 1 and 2. These are equivalent to a short course GCSE.

As a public opinion, AQA, Edexcel and OCR are considered to be the most reliable in awarding qualifications and by many considered to be the hardest exam boards. This is not saying that other exam boards are broadly unreliable, however, they are the most looked down upon.

A lot of the time these differences just seem harder or easier due to your personal preferences and strengths. For example OCR being a lot more context based than AQA so for some people they may struggle with applying their knowledge to situations and therefore find it harder.

OCR, also referred to as Oxford, Cambridge, and RSA Examinations, also offers an A-Level course in Biology. In contrary to the AQA exam board, OCR is not as favourable for most of the students because of the additional study material.

1. Further Maths. Further Maths is the hardest GCSE Subject. This is because GCSE Further Maths has an extensive syllabus, complex and tough concepts that are difficult to grasp, challenging questions in the exams, harsh marking, and requires a great deal of independent study.

Looking at the AQA papers, they do appear easier. If Edexcel papers are difficult but you only need 50% to pass, AQA papers are easier but you need 70% to pass (numbers completely made up), then you have to take that into consideration.

Key differences The AQA papers are equally weighted, putting less pressure on students to do better in one than the other. Edexcel’s two papers are split 40%/60% and have a greater emphasis on persuasive and instructional writing. Edexcel offer students a choice of writing questions on both papers.

In all honesty, there isn’t too much difference. Look up both exam specifications and you’ll see that the two courses aren’t all that different. Then use your Edexcel textbook for the topics on the AQA specification that you need to study.

The GCSEs are moderately hard exams as they only require students to memorize the subject content and have a basic understanding of the concepts. The GCSEs do not have tough questions or difficult topics. Instead, the GCSE subjects are relatively easy to pass.

A lot of mock papers, particularly maths and english, are the resit papers. They are harder than the regular GCSE paper with higher grade boundaries.

While getting a 9 in GCSE Maths is difficult, it is not an impossible achievement. Put in the practice and hard work now and you’ll have a very good chance of nailing it in your exams and getting the grade you’re after.

Quite honestly IGCSE is tougher. Overall CBSE is easier to score at because it depends much more on textual knowledge but not as much as IGCSE on your critical thinking, problem solving skills, etc although IGCSE is actually better as it does develops your skills which can come in handy in the future.

And not everyone can cope up with CBSE syllabus. But in India schools which provide A levels are less compared to the no. of schools that provide CBSE education. So finding a school might be difficult.
