H.P. (Hit Points): In most games your health/life is defined in numbers. So if your life meter says 100, you have 100 HP. When used alongside a weapon/attack, it denotes the number of life points it will take away when used. M.P. (Mana Points): Just like HP denotes health, MP denotes your magic prowess.

HP == Hit points. MP == Magic Points, but only if that’s the only thing they are used for. Mana is MP, but also used for skills, and I rarely use the term “points” after Mana. I’ve never used Health points for HP, before, either.

Magic Points

HP, which can stand for Health Points or Hit Points, and it has also been called Life, is an important stat in every game of the Final Fantasy series. Every playable character, monster, and Summons in some games, have a set HP.
