In all likelihood a pastoral interview will be a 1-day affair if you are a successful candidate. The tasks and interviews in the morning are there to demonstrate your suitability for the role, get a feel for you as a person/professional and see if you can back up what you wrote in your application.

• What are your strengths?
• What are your weaknesses?
• Why do you want this job?
• Where would you like to be in your career five years from now?
• What’s your ideal company?
• What attracted you to this company?
• Why should we hire you?

8 Questions You Must Ask Before Joining a Local Church

• Does the church teach from the Bible?
• What is the church’s involvement in global missions?
• What is the church’s strategy for discipleship?
• Is the church activating and engaging all the members to use their gifts for the good of the church?

In order to become a Christian, you must admit the your sins, and believe that Jesus is the perfect Son of God (was both God and man). Talk to God, telling him you believe, and that get in touch with someone at any nearby Christian church about your desire to join the congregation.

Finding Your Church. Determine the church’s religious affiliations. Determine the church’s denomination and make sure that it matches with your religion. Check on the church’s website or inquire with a staff member or pastor about any possible affiliations with outside organizations.

Here are the reasons to consider leaving your church.

• You Haven’t Found Community (but you’ve tried)
• The Church Isn’t Doing Anything for People Outside The Church.
• There is Abuse of Power in the Church Leadership.

The Catholic Church teaches that Christ set up only “one true Church”, and that this Church of Christ is the Catholic Church. From this follows that it regards itself as “the universal sacrament of salvation for the human race” and the only true religion.

Muslims must also fulfill their promises. Another important concept is the belief that truth lies in Islam itself, as being the one true religion, and the ultimate answer to all moral questions.

On the other side of this, being baptized does NOT give you a free pass to heaven. And not being baptized does not disqualify you from heaven. Heaven is being in God’s presence, and that doesn’t start once you die.

Whoever covers an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends. Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

What is a spirit of offense? A spirit of offense is feeling resentful because of an actual or perceived insult. Sometimes it is an actual insult and other times it is an unintended slight that we misinterpret. Regardless of intent or not, we still have to deal with the issue of our hurt feelings.

As verbs the difference between hurt and offend is that hurt is to be painful while offend is (transitive) to hurt the feelings of; to displease; to make angry; to insult.

offense (n.) and directly from Latin offensa “an offense, injury, affront, crime,” literally “a striking against,” noun use of fem. past participle of offendere (see offend). Meaning “action of attacking” is from c. 1400.

The spirit of offense is similar to a sunburn. You see, it’s not that the person hurt you; as you were already hurt. But, because that person touched your wounded spot, it stung or hurt you even more. At that moment, you have an opportunity to take offense or SHIELD UP.

The original word for an offense in the Greek is aproskopos. More accurately interpreted, it means: To cause no one to stumble. Do not lead another into sin. On the other side of this definition is what a person must do: Create a smooth road. Make a clear path to Jesus.
