DOW Cladmate XPS Insulation is a Styrofoam extruded polystyrene foam rigid board insulation with shiplap edges. It is designed for use in walls and attics of new and retrofit applications. Easy to handle, cut and install. It is available in several thicknesses for desired R-value application.

Styrofoam Highload 40 Insulation is a Type VI extruded polystyrene foam insulation with a minimum compressive strength of 40 psi. It resists compressive creep and fatigue and delivers long-term compressive strength and thermal performance in high-load applications.

Styrofoam Brand Foam by Dupont (formerly Dow Chemical), typically referred to as “blue board” is the best known extruded polystyrene insulation on the market today. Manufactured by Dupont, Styrofoam Brand Foam is available in a variety of thicknesses in both 24″ x 96″ and 48″ x 96″ dimensions.

Geofoam is expanded polystyrene (EPS) or extruded polystyrene (XPS) manufactured into large lightweight blocks. The primary function of geofoam is to provide a lightweight void fill below a highway, bridge approach, embankment or parking lot. EPS Geofoam minimizes settlement on underground utilities.

When building or renovating a high-performance building envelope there are really three main kinds of rigid foam panels you are going to have to choose from – Polyisocyanurate known as Polyiso (PIR), Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) – often called Styrofoam – and Expanded Polystyrene (EPS).

Also sold as buoyancy billet, blue foam is a closed-cell extruded polystyrene foam normally used for constructing floating structures. As a prototyping material, blue foam is an easily shapable rigid foam useful for exploring complex shapes and forms.
