Dragon's Dogma 2 added a lot of new things compared to the original Dragon's Dogma. One of the newly added features introduced on the Dragon's Dogma 2 website before its release was Dragonsplague. The official sources described the Dragonsplague as a disease that only affected Pawns who traveled in the Rifts for a long time. This disease was supposed to make the peasants stronger but unruly to the commandos. But now players are starting to learn just how destructive Dragonsplague can be when left unchecked in-game. The disease can wipe out all NPCs in the city where the Arisen rest, ruining the entire game for the players. Here is a complete guide on what Dragonsplague is in Dragon's Dogma 2 and how to protect against it.

Dragonsplague is a disease that can only affect farmers, making them stronger but unruly. If a peasant in your party has Dragonsplague, they will act strangely and stop listening to your commands. This plague can also spread to the other farmers in the party. Image Courtesy: Capcom

The scary part about Dragonsplague is that it can wipe out all the NPCs in an entire city if left unchecked by the Arisen. If you keep a Dragon's Plague affected farmer in your party long enough and then sleep at an inn or house in a town, you may see an ominous cutscene with the Dragon's Plague Farmer and a dragon appearing in the sky.

After the cutscene ends and you wake up, the Dragonsplague Farmers will leave your party, and all NPCs in the town you rest at will be dead.
