In response to stress, rocks will undergo some form of bending or breaking, or both. The bending or breaking of rock is called deformation or strain.

Unconformity. a break in the geologic record created when rock layers are eroded or when sediment is not deposited for a long period of time. OR. Missing rock layers create gaps in rock layer sequences called unconformities.

Figure 10.6: Rocks that were originally deposited in horizontal layers can subsequently deform by tectonic forces into folds and faults. Folds constitute the twists and bends in rocks. Faults are planes of detachment resulting when rocks on either side of the displacement slip past one another.

Faults are cracks in the earth’s crust along which there is movement. These can be massive (the boundaries between the tectonic plates themselves) or very small. Fractures are simply cracks in the crust where there is no movement. Faults are classified according to the direction of relative movement along the fault.

Cracks or fractures in the Earth’s crust are known as faults, and because there may be more than one rock fracture, an area of related cracks is called a fault line.

A fault is an error caused by ignorance, bad judgment or inattention. If you say, “It’s my fault,” you accept the blame. Well, they can’t fault you for telling the truth, at least. A fault can be a shortcoming — everyone has faults because no one is perfect — or a crack in the earth’s crust, like the San Andreas Fault.

Psychological projection is a defense mechanism in which the ego defends itself against unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves and attributing them to others. Projection has been described as an early phase of introjection.

Narcissists are notorious for blaming everyone and everything around them. This projection happens because they believe they know how to do things the right way. If you are in a relationship with a narcissist, they may blame you for: Being too sensitive.

scapegoat (noun) A person who is blamed for the wrongdoings, mistakes, or faults of others, especially for reasons of expediency.

The definition of infallible is someone or something that is always perfect and right, without any errors or mistakes.

People with narcissistic personality disorder are extremely resistant to changing their behavior, even when it’s causing them problems. Their tendency is to turn the blame on to others.

People with strong narcissistic tendencies and other dark personality traits tend to blame others for their own bad behavior. If they are lying, then they will accuse others of lying. If they are cruel, they will say that others are cruel.

2. They walk ahead of you. They literally walk in front of you or way ahead because they’re so impatient and/or need to show their kingly/queenly superiority.

A normal person enjoys kissing because they are attracted to the person they are kissing, and it feels good. But a narcissist enjoys kissing because it is a part of the seductive process that leads to them hooking their partner.

Narcissism can simply be defined as exaggerated feelings of self-importance. People who suffer from Narcissistic Personality Disorder have a constant need for external validation, admiration and power. Dating narcissistic people will leave you feeling empty, worthless and alone.

While a non-disordered person considers how their words and actions affect other people, narcissists do not. Many narcissists, at some point or other, do become aware of the effect their behaviors have on other people, but they are completely indifferent to it.
