The equation of any straight line, called a linear equation, can be written as: y = mx + b, where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept. The y-intercept of this line is the value of y at the point where the line crosses the y axis.

How To: Given the equation for a linear function, graph the function using the y-intercept and slope.

• Evaluate the function at an input value of zero to find the y-intercept.
• Identify the slope.
• Plot the point represented by the y-intercept.
• Use riserun to determine at least two more points on the line.

If a, b, and r are real numbers (and if a and b are not both equal to 0) then ax+by = r is called a linear equation in two variables. (The “two variables” are the x and the y.) The numbers a and b are called the coefficients of the equation ax+by = r. The number r is called the constant of the equation ax + by = r.

The standard form for linear equations in two variables is Ax+By=C. For example, 2x+3y=5 is a linear equation in standard form. When an equation is given in this form, it’s pretty easy to find both intercepts (x and y). This form is also very useful when solving systems of two linear equations.

There are three steps:

1. Rearrange the equation so “y” is on the left and everything else on the right.
2. Plot the “y=” line (make it a solid line for y≤ or y≥, and a dashed line for y< or y>)
3. Shade above the line for a “greater than” (y> or y≥) or below the line for a “less than” (y< or y≤).

Math formula to determine someone’s age

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to. go out to eat (more than zero but less than 10).
2. Multiply this number by 2.
3. Add 5.
4. Multiply it by 50.
5. If you have already had your birthday this year, add 1757 …. but if you haven’t, add 1756.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

While it’s possible to test athletes for drugs, there’s actually no scientific test to determine someone’s exact age. This might seem like a weird statement, at first. After all, we can tell how old trees are by measuring their rings. But there’s no comparable test for humans.

So now, the instructions become :

1. Enter the number 7.
2. Multiply by the month of your birth (Eg, if your birthday was 29 February, you’d multiply by 2)
3. Subtract 1.
4. Multiply by 13.
5. Add the day of your birth (eg, if your birthday was 29 February, you’d multiply by 29)
6. Add 3.
7. Multiply by 11.

One of our favorite unofficial, free sources for dates of birth, Birthdatabase.com, is currently once again unavailable is back online. After an absence of approximately three months, the site’s search form is once again became active in November 2016 and retrieving birth date results.

Click the “Edit” link in the Basic Information section. Locate the Birthday section in your Google account’s basic information. This is the birth date that you entered when you first registered for a Gmail account, and the date that displays on your Google profile.

To manage your own Google Account, you must meet the minimum age requirement for the country associated with your account. You’ll have 14 days to either set up supervision for your account or verify that you’re old enough to manage your account. During this grace period you can log in and use your account as normal.
