Points expire after 18 months of inactivity and you can keep those points alive by earning or redeeming points. That would be fine, but Wyndham doesn’t stop there. Wyndham also expires points 4 years after they’re earned.

Like almost all hotel programs, you’ll earn points when staying at Wyndham properties based on how much you spend and your Wyndham Rewards status. You’ll earn 10 points per dollar spent on all Wyndham Rewards stays regardless of the brand, with each stay earning a minimum of 1,000 points.

Using Points Wyndham Rewards points can be used for free hotel, vacation home and condo stays at participating Wyndham Hotels & Resorts properties. The number of points needed to cover a free night’s stay (known as a go free award) ranges from 7,500 to 30,000 points.

Wyndham Rewards points expire after 18 months of no account activity. They also expire 4 years (48 months) from the date earned, regardless of account activity.

Stay at Wyndham hotels The most obvious way to earn Wyndham points is by booking a stay at a Wyndham hotel. When you enroll in Wyndham Rewards, you earn 10 base points per $1 spent on qualifying stays or 1,000 points, whichever is greater.

Are Wyndham Rewards points transferable? Yes. You can transfer Wyndham Rewards points to other Wyndham Rewards members (for a fee), transfer points between Wyndham Rewards and Caesars Rewards, transfer them to airline partners, or donate them to charity.

Being a Wyndham Rewards member means you may also redeem points toward travel in other ways. For example, you can convert Wyndham points to American Airlines miles at the following rates: 6,000 Wyndham Rewards = 1,200 AAdvantage miles. 16,000 points = 3,200 miles.

Rewards will expire on the Account billing cycle date in April, July, October and January, four (4) years from the date the Rewards originally posted to your Account billing statement. Rewards posted to your Account billing statement in January, February and March will expire in April.

Wyndham Rewards points expire 4 years after being earned. They are forfeited if there is no activity in your account within 18 months.
