A preposition is a word or group of words used before a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase to show direction, time, place, location, spatial relationships, or to introduce an object. Some examples of prepositions are words like “in,” “at,” “on,” “of,” and “to.”

Prepositions, Ending a Sentence With. Ending a sentence with a preposition such as “with,” “of,” and “to,” is permissible in the English language.

Use the preposition ‘to’ when indicating that there is movement from one place to another. In other words, the preposition ‘to’ with verbs such as drive, walk, go, hike, fly, sail, etc. We’re flying to San Francisco on Thursday for a meeting.

Grammarians and English teachers will tell you not to use the preposition “on” with the adverbs “tomorrow,” “today,” and “yesterday” because it is already a part of their meaning. Tomorrow is defined as “on the day after today,” today is defined as “on this day,” and yesterday is defined as “on the day before today.”

The phrases “on tomorrow,” “on today,” and “on yesterday” are commonly heard in the southern region of the United States. They are acceptable in casual speech and other informal contexts, but should not be used in formal contexts such as academic writing.

“Will be held” is simply the future passive (we will hold the meeting -> the meeting will be held by us). When we think of the word held, we tend to think about literal/actual arms or hands holding something.

While the word ”always” refers to the timeliness of something, it does not function as a preposition.
