The word “migrant” is being used in place of “immigrant.” A migrant is a person who moves from one place to another within a country. An immigrant is a person who moves from one country from another.

Migrants might be defined by foreign birth, by foreign citizenship, or by their movement into a new country to stay temporarily (sometimes for as little as one month) or to settle for the long-term.  Migration boosts the working-age population.  Migrants arrive with skills and contribute to human capital development of receiving countries. Migrants also contribute to technological progress. Understanding these impacts is important if our societies are to usefully debate the role of migration.

When people migrate, the population of the country will decrease. Migration has advantages and disadvantages. Some of advantages include: getting better places, interacting with people and learning their way of live. Disadvantages include: being killed, livestock stolen or conflicts.

Immigration affects the labour supply, as it increases the pool of workers in certain sectors of the economy. At the same time, immigration is likely to increase the demand for labour, as migrants expand consumer demand for certain goods and services.

Migrants eventually induce social, economic, and political problems in receiving countries, including 1) increases in the population, with adverse effects on existing social institutions; 2) increases in demand for goods and services; 3) displacement of nationals from occupations in the countryside and in the cities; 4 …

We find that immigrants in advanced economies increase output and productivity both in the short and medium term. That’s because native and immigrant workers bring to the labor market a diverse set of skills, which complement each other and increase productivity.

Migrants send not only money, but also social remittances. Yet, migration can also generate negative effects for origin countries. Even though developing countries can benefit in the long run from the emigration of skilled people, the brain drain can prevent poor countries from investing in human capital.

Immigration enforcement—and the threat of such actions—can negatively impact a child’s long-term health and development. A child’s risk of having mental health problems like depression, anxiety, and severe psychological distress increases following the detention and/or deportation of a parent.

The migration of a family member brings additional income through remittances, which can support household consumption and investment. This income effect can reduce the need for child labor and increase children’s schooling, notably for girls in developing countries.

Individuals who migrate experience multiple stresses that can impact their mental well being, including the loss of cultural norms, religious customs, and social support systems, adjustment to a new culture and changes in identity and concept of self.

External deportation In general, foreigners who have committed serious crimes, entered the country illegally, overstayed or broken the conditions of their visa, or otherwise lost their legal status to remain in the country may be administratively removed or deported.

Answer: I doubt the USCIS will try to revoke your permanent residence and deport (remove) you. It’s possible, but the agency would have a hard time proving that your marriage wasn’t bona fide (real). As for good moral character, adultery isn’t a bar to naturalization unless it results in the breaking up of a marriage.
