Countries in the Northern Hemisphere include the United States, Canada, Russia and all of the countries in Europe. Other countries in the Northern Hemisphere are Kazakhstan, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia. All territory north of the equator is considered part of the Northern Hemisphere.

The Mollwiede projection of Earth shows that there is more landmass in the Northern Hemisphere than in the Southern Hemisphere. While perhaps not obvious just at a glance, the Northern Hemisphere’s surface is about 40% landmass and is covered by about 60% water in the Northern Hemisphere.

High School dropouts are more than twice as likely as graduates to live in poverty within a year and begin depending on public assistance for their survival. A higher percentage of high school dropouts have health problems because of a lack of access to basic care.

Some states have different high school graduation requirements and the most common required GPA is a 2.0. They wouldn’t be able to graduate. Bottom line is, if you can get at least a D in each class, then a 1.0 GPA would be considered passing in some schools and you would be able to graduate.

Of all of the males in federal and state prisons, 80 percent do not have a high school diploma. There is a direct correlation with a lack of high school education and incarceration. One in ten male dropouts between the ages of 16 to 24 are either in prison or in juvenile detention.

California students may drop out legally once they turn 18. Students who are 16 or 17 may also leave school, but only if they: have their parents’ permission, and. pass the California High School Proficiency Exam, which leads to a certificate that’s equivalent to a diploma (more on that below).

You can leave school at the end of the school year you turn 16 (normally the end of year 11), but this doesn’t mean the end of education. All young people are now expected to stay in some kind of education or training until they are 18. This can be combined with paid or voluntary work.
