Permanent outdoor vinyl is perfect for outdoor signs, car decals, mugs or other items that will go through the dishwasher. The simple solution is heat. To achieve a better bond between the tape’s adhesive and the vinyl’s surface, simply heat the tape after you’ve masked the vinyl. This can be done with a standard issue heat gun or even a good quality hair dryer.

Place mug in heat press at the pressing temperature of 380-400F, and close the element around the mug. Press for about 4-5 minutes using medium to firm pressure. If the image begins to look blurry, or burnt brown by over-pressing, decrease pressing time by 15-30 seconds.
