Book Review This contemporary coming-of-age book by John Green is published by Speak, an imprint of Penguin Group (USA) Inc., and is written for kids ages 14 years and up. The age range reflects readability and not necessarily content appropriateness.

So getting back to my cousin and the book Paper Towns by John Green, I looked it up for her on Common Sense Media and they deemed it appropriate for age 14 with a quality rating of 4 stars. Parents agreed with the same age range and rating, but kids said that it was okay for age 13 and gave it a 5 star rating.

In the book, Margo asks her neighbour and admirer, Quentin “Q” Jacobsen to join her in a night of revenge when her boyfriend cheats on her with her best friend. However, the next morning, Margo disappears entirely.

So, no, Margo does not die and it remains to be seen whether she will keep her promise to stay in touch.

She tells him that she left him the Woody Guthrie poster and the Walt Whitman clue at the last minute because she didn’t want him to worry, and led him to the minimall so that he would go out of his comfort zone and explore.

Margo tells Quentin that originally she planned to leave after the school year was over, once she has graduated from high school. However, when she found out that her boyfriend was cheating on her, and that her best friend knew but did not tell her, she was compelled to leave earlier.

So, About That ‘Paper Towns’ Ending… Paper Towns may open with a suicide, but it ends on a hopeful note: Q recognizes that Margo is far more real than he’d given her credit for, and Margo gallivants off to start a life beyond Florida.

Will There Be A ‘Paper Towns’ Sequel? It Isn’t Likely, But The John Green Movies Might Just Keep Coming.

Margo and Quentin break into friends’ houses and cars creatively, wreaking havoc on these friends. Their night of mischief and revenge culminates with breaking into Sea World. Part Two outlines the characters’ last few weeks of high school. After Margo and Quentin’s adventure, Margo disappears.

Agloe is a fictional hamlet in Colchester, Delaware County, New York, that became an actual landmark after mapmakers made up the community as a phantom settlement, an example of a “copyright trap” and similar to a trap street.

Agloe, New York, the famous town that John Green’s Paper Towns is based on, was a fictional place until someone made it real. Agloe, New York, is where part of John Green’s fictional book turned movie Paper Towns is set. But there’s a catch: Agloe isn’t a real town.

The term “trap street” refers to fake roads and other fictional destinations like Argleton that are intentionally sprinkled on a map to discourage competitors from plagiarism.

Another definition of “paper town” is a fictitious location that a mapmaker puts on a map to avoid copyright infringement. If mapmakers find a map published by a different company but that includes the fictitious town, they know that their original map has been plagiarized.

In the first part, “The Strings,” Margo and Q use the phrase “paper town” to refer to Orlando, and Margo calls it a “paper town” because it’s flimsy and planned—from above, Orlando looks very much like a city that someone built out of origami or something.

Paper Towns is a story is about love, friendship and what it’s like to be young. One of my favourite things about the story is that it profoundly demonstrates some really complex lessons about the way we relate and connect to each other.
