The muscles involved in flexion (bending) the elbow are the biceps brachii, brachioradialis and the brachialis. The triceps are responsible for elbow extension (straightening the arm).

to raise the forearm, the biceps contracts and the triceps relaxes. to lower the forearm again, the triceps contracts and the biceps relaxes.

Control your tongue by thinking what you want, but saying only what is appropriate.

1. Stand by the advice, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
2. If you can’t think of anything positive to say, then just smile politely, nod, and subtly change the subject.

Controlling our tongues is about verbal control. It is about instilling discipline into this area of our life. It’s about finding a better way to say the right things at the right time. And that starts when we can effectively control our tongues.

Chapter 3 adds another layer to our Christian maturity by talking about how we use our words in how we teach and in how we generally speak to or about others. The quality and contents of our speech reveals how much we have let godly wisdom truly mature in us.

In the first twelve verses of James Chapter 3, the writer cautions against becoming teachers, saying that they will receive a stricter punishment unless they are mature and possess self-control virtues.

The phrase “my brothers and sisters” is James’ way of trying to speak loving and gently to them while correcting them. He knew believers “make many mistakes,” but they were not to tolerate a mixture of good and evil as a way of life.

James is telling us that wisdom is not merely intellectual knowledge. It also involves accompanying behavior. The wisdom that comes from God will be seen in our good conduct. Part of this conduct is gentleness.

There are three types of wisdom – the first wisdom which is the most important is the Godly wisdom then Earthly wisdom and Satanic wisdom. There is a need for you to know the difference in these three kinds of wisdom, so you know exactly which one to choose.

Instead, it has been a forum for magnifying them. The Bible says there are two kinds of wisdom in the world. First, there is wisdom that is given by God, a wisdom which, after the mind of Christ, views life in terms of eternity.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
