How Many Hours Does 1 Language Take to Complete on Duolingo? Sooooo, on Duolingo French there’s 155 modules. At 2.5 hours per module, that’s 387.5 hours to complete one language.

Duolingo will not make you fluent or a great speaking in your chosen language. It does not claim to do so either. Instead, Duolingo will teach the basics of a language, providing you with around 1500 words (about the same as a 6 year old) and acts as a great basis for further learning.

EDIT: I can now confirm what many had said: if you do not do any lessons for the week (∴do not enter the weekly leaderboard) you will MAINTAIN your league. Also, despite getting sick and some other mishaps throughout the week, my exams went really well!
