Canon or not, the Dragon Ball universe has a large roster of powerful fighters. A debate among fans of Sparking Zero is brewing about which of the non-canon characters will make it into the game. Several of them have been in video games before.
To that end, the upcoming Bandai Namco game must include some non-canon characters. Although 17 years have passed and new characters certainly deserve a place, the developers simply cannot forget some of the beloved ones that fans would like to see.
Sometimes non-canon characters in a series become so popular that fans simply can't get enough of them. Dragon Ball contains many of them. Since Budokai Tenkaichi has featured some of the characters before, it was natural for fans to hope that the Bandai Namco game might include them.
