A recent report by WABetaInfo, which is known for tracking WhatsApp features, has revealed that WhatsApp has started working on the ability to edit sent text messages. This way you will be able to correct typos or perhaps change the message entirely if needed.

This information comes five years after WhatsApp was rumored to introduce the editing option for messages. The idea was eventually scrapped but it turns out that 2022 could be the year it finally reaches users.

The report also includes a screenshot showing how the edit option will work. It has been revealed that the edit option will appear when a message is long pressed.
