There’s been no talk of making a sequel to The Truman Show outside of Carrey’s comments, but the idea certainly seems perfectly suited for today’s social media-obsessed world.

‘The Truman Show’ epitomizes strong and original storytelling on screen. This film is emotionally engaging, didactic, witty, dramatic and very unique. For those unfamiliar with the concept, Truman Burbank has never left his ideal home town of Sea Haven.

ACTOR SACKED AFTER TWO DAYS Dennis Hopper was originally cast as the Christof, the director and creator of The Truman Show. But after just a few days of filming, he was sacked and replaced by Ed Harris.

Brian Delate as Walter Moore playing Kirk Burbank, Truman’s father. When Truman was a boy, his character on the show was killed off to instil a fear of water in his son that would prevent Truman from leaving the set; however, he sneaks back onto the set when Truman is an adult.

After a moment of reflection, Truman says his catchphrase: “In case I don’t see you… good afternoon, good evening, and good night”, bows to his audience and exits.

In the film, you can see that Truman’s quest began when he started to question what he had previously taken for granted. In many situations, we go through life making assumptions about ourselves and others that greatly limit our possibilities. We assume that we can’t find a better job or succeed in business.
