Masashi Kishimoto felt the perfect person to carry on the Naruto series.

Naruto's creator rewrites all of Boruto

Masashi Kishimoto created one of the greatest anime series ever. Although it ended in 2017, Naruto is still one of the most popular anime, with its fan base growing every day. Fans weren't ready to part with the franchise, so Shueisha asked Kishimoto sensei about a sequel. The mangaka didn't object to the idea, but set a condition.

The condition was absolute, otherwise he would not be interested in the sequel. Kishimoto asked to hand over the sequel to his assistant. They knew each other for years and the mangaka put her trust in him. After that, Mikio Ikemoto became the creator of Boruto.

Masashi Kishimoto worked for 20 years to create the Naruto series. It became one of the big three in anime and paved the way for the global dominance of the anime industry. The entire fandom was left in mourning after their childhood hero bade them farewell. But Shueisha had other plans. They approached Kishimoto for a sequel, and the mangaka agreed on one condition.
