The offline Outlook Data File (. ost) is also saved at drive:/Usersser/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Outlook. Most data remains on the server; however, any items that are saved locally should be backed up. For example, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, and any folders marked Local only.

PROCEDURE 1

1. Open Outlook and click on HOME tab.
2. Click on NEW ITEMS.
3. Point to MORE ITEMS and select OUTLOOK DATA FILE.
4. On Create or Open OUTLOOK data file window, name your Personal folder and hit on OK.
5. The newly created Personal Folder appears in the navigation pane.

Open an Outlook Data File (. pst)

1. On the File tab, click Account Settings > Account Settings.
2. On the Data Files tab, click Add.
3. Click the Outlook Data File (. pst) file that you want to open, and then click OK.

You can find your . pst file in one of the following locations: Windows 10 drive:/Users//AppData/Local/Microsoft/Outlook. Windows 10 drive:/Users//Roaming/Local/Microsoft/Outlook.

1. Choose File | Account Settings | Account Settings | Data Files.
2. Click Add.
3. Choose the location to save your file on the “Create or Open Outlook Data file” prompt. This can be your local hard drive (C: drive) or a location on a network share (not recommended).
4. Click OK.
5. Select the new .
6. Click OK.

How to Create a New PST File in Outlook?

1. Open MS Outlook, click New Items, point to More Items ,and then click Outlook Data Files.
2. Give a name for the new PST file (click Add Optional Password if you want to create a password-protected PST file) and then click OK.

1. Click Add on the Outlook Folder Mapping dialog .
2. Select an Outlook folder and click “OK.” The “New” button will create a new outlook folder.
3. Select an existing location from the list of vault folders or click Add Folder to create a new vault folder, and then click OK.

In Outlook 2010:

1. Select the File tab.
2. In the Info category, select the Account Settings button and then select Account Settings.
3. In the Account Settings window, select the Data Files tab.
4. Select Add, select Outlook data file (. pst), and then select OK.
5. Type a unique name for the new . pst file.
6. Close Outlook.
