Neutrino

Neutrinos are elusive subatomic particles created in a wide variety of nuclear processes. And new neutrinos are created all the time: in the nuclear hearts of stars, in particle accelerators and atomic reactors on Earth, during the explosive collapse of supernovas and when radioactive elements decay.

There is no real relationship between neutrons and neutrinos except that both carry no (neutral) charge. They are separate particles in almost every other way. Neutrons are a type of nucleon, meaning they are found in the nucleus. Neutrinos are more similar to the electron, and are a fundamental particle on their own.

A neutrino is a particle! Neutrinos are also incredibly small and light. They have some mass, but not much. They are the lightest of all the subatomic particles that have mass. They’re also extremely common—in fact, they’re the most abundant massive particle in the universe.

Of all the elementary particles that we know of, neutrinos are the least harmful of them all. All charged particles, like electrons, protons, etc do interact and in sufficient quantities can be harmful. Even some neutral particles like gamma rays or neutrons can be harmful since they have stronger interaction rates.

The neutrino-antineutrino pair can annihilate into a virtual Z boson, and the virtual Z would then decay into whatever is energetically allowed – depending on the CM energy of the initial neutrino pair.

A neutrino is a subatomic particle that is very similar to an electron, but has no electrical charge and a very small mass, which might even be zero. The three neutrino types appear to be distinct: For instance, when muon-neutrinos interact with a target, they will always produce muons, and never taus or electrons.

The mountain lion primarily hunts at dusk and dawn. One of the fastest and most skillful predators in nature, mountain lions can outrun a deer for a short distance. These animals can also jump 18 feet straight up a tree and they are excellent swimmers, even though they hate to be in water.

A group of 2–4 female lions would have a similar advantage over a lone tigress. They conclude that while one on one, a tiger would certainly best a lion, in the wild the lion pride could hold their own against the solitary tiger.

They prefer areas with dense undergrowth and cover, and will leave an area if they perceive a threat. Found in deserts, humid coast forests, arid hillsides, scrub and oak woodlands, lions can live from sea level to snow-covered mountain peaks. A ten year lifespan is considered old age for a mountain lion in the wild.

Healthy deer can easily outrun wolves, and large animals like moose or bison often stand their ground until the wolves give up. Some studies have shown that when wolves hunt deer, an average of 84 to 87 out of every 100 deer escape.
