Once you've maxed out and gotten a set of good gear in Final Fantasy 14, you'll want to fuse materials into it. Whether it's for your combat job or your crafters and collectors, materia can make quite a difference at times.
You can obviously buy materials from the market board, but this is an expensive route to go down, and you usually don't want to do this unless you're looking for legacy materials to overlay (more on that below).
Getting regular battle material is pretty easy, but getting crafter and collector material is a bit more difficult. Below we explain where to get FFXIV materials and how to fuse them into your gear.
