The Rus are a Varangian-Slavic people living in eastern Europe, specifically the Kievan Rus, Ruthenia, or Russia. Their ethnocultural cousins, the Scandinavians, often raided their lands prior to Ragnar Lothbrok’s discovery of England and the beginning of the Viking Age.

Mongol empire, empire founded by Genghis Khan in 1206. Originating from the Mongol heartland in the Steppe of central Asia, by the late 13th century it spanned from the Pacific Ocean in the east to the Danube River and the shores of the Persian Gulf in the west.

The battle is a severe and crippling defeat for the Vikings, as Bjorn seemingly dies and King Harald is badly injured, paving the way for further Rus progress towards Norway. Both sides suffered relatively heavy losses.

A total of 89 episodes have aired. But sadly back in January 2019, it was announced season six would be the final season of the series. With this in mind, there will unfortunately not be a season seven of Vikings.

During the mid-season finale, it’s unclear what happens to Harald. He appears gravely wounded, but viewers didn’t see him die. Bjorn is stabbed and there’s no way he can come back from a wound like that.

Bjorn is declared King by Olaf where Bjorn is reunited soon after with his believed to be dead mother Lagertha much to Bjorn’s joy and his brother Ubbe, who was seriously injured in a battle with the Danes. Lagertha gives Bjorn the sword of Kings hailing him King Bjorn, King of Kattegat.

Yes, Harald won the election. But he also deceived Björn, by making him think that he supported björn for King while lobbying on his own behalf instead. He knows that björn would never let that go, not after saving his life/having his back.
