The Maurya Empire was founded in 322 BCE by Chandragupta Maurya, who had overthrown the Nanda Dynasty and rapidly expanded his power westward across central and western India in order to take advantage of the disruptions of local powers in the wake of the withdrawal by Alexander the Great ‘s armies.

Baniyas and Marwaris are known to be Frugal or Kanjoos. This gives them the image of being angry about overspending and people who keep their money close to themselves. However, they are unemotional about their money and invest big sums of their wealth in opportunities that most will consider risky.

Agarwals and Guptas usually belong to the Hindu Baniya caste—communities traditionally involved in trade and commerce, and known for their business acumen. In fact, the Mint newspaper reported in 2011, that many Indian billionaires were Baniyas.

Jains, Hindus, and Brahmin are allowed to get married as long as: The lifestyles of the two people are close enough. The family has no major objections.

Monks of this sect reject all worldly possessions in order to live a totally ascetic life. Because they are allowed no possessions whatsoever they live without clothes and go “skyclad”, which means naked. Their nakedness is also a statement that they are beyond feelings such as modesty and shame.

Maheshwari people are basically Marawari people whose ancestors are from marawar region of Rajastan they worship Shiva and thus called maheshwari. The maheshwari are covered under umbrella of Hindusim whereas Jainism is independent religion in itself.

Maheshwari, also spelled Maheshvari, is a Hindu caste of India, originally from what is now the state of Rajasthan. Their traditional occupation is that of commerce and as such they form part of the wider Bania occupation-based community that also includes castes such as the Khandelwals, Oswals and Agrawals.
